NEXT( more commonly known as National exit exam for MBBS) Will be a single window examination which will replace the NEET-PG exam & MCI screening test. It will be implemented from 2022. This exam mandatory for Indian students as well as the forgien students.
Pattern to NEXT( National Exit Test)
NEXT will comprise two parts: Theory (NEXT1) and Practical (NEXT2). Theory questions will be multiple choice questions (MCQs). NEXT 1 will have around 540 questions that will be conducted for 3 days and over 15 hours.
The medical council introduced a new exam which is termed NEXT. It replaced the NEET-PG exam for medical students. NEXT is introduced and standardized for which all the MBBS graduates will have to appear.It aims to improve the quality of doctors in India. NEET-PG was held after the MBBS graduate completed an internship, but now NEXT will be held for the graduated to qualify for an internship. NEXT exam is designed on a bordered concept that will be judging the clinical aspect for the medical students. Clearing the NEXT 1 would land you an internship and clearing NEXT 2 will get you admission in PG college along with a medical license. The new curriculum of NMC includes all the 19 subjects for the national exit MBBS test.
