Official 2009 Patriots Draft Needs

I thought I'd make a thread where everyone can post their thoughts on Patriots draft needs.

Here's my take:

Wide Receiver: Is Moss playing 100%?  Gaffney hasn't really shown up.  Maybe the Patriots can avoid a Chad Jackson, and pick up a good receiver.

Tight End: I could be wrong, but I believe Watson expires after this season.  David Thomas can be their receiving tight end, but who will block?

Right Tackle: Kazcur really struggles on a consistent basis.  Need an upgrade here.

Right Guard: Stephen Neal is injured.  Billy Yates is just a back-up.

Cornerback: Will the Patriots get a physical cornerback?  They need one.

definitely defense......i think the offense is more than capable as it stands....if we could stop someone(anyone) on third downs we will easily prevail in the afc east.

The only good wideout belichick drafted was Branch.  I don't want him trying that again.

But I think another lb would be good, probably a bigger cornerback.  Right tackle is interesting, I dont think Kzcur is a good character

For right tackle, Im looking at Ciron Black from LSU

Clearly, outside linebacker is now the most potent need.

This list is out-dated.

I think the Patriots have a few guys on their radar and will draft based on whose the best player available out of their short list. I believe that if Tyson Jackson is available at 23 he may be their choice being a 3-4 D-End. If not I would not be surprised if the go for Jarron Gilbert at 34. Besides that, I think they're early round picks will be a D-End, and an OT. As the rounds get later I beleve they will go for a TE in the 2nd or 3rd, a WR, then try to fill their needs at S, ILB, OLB, P.

Don't be surprised if they go for Percy Harvin or Pat White.

concern with the possibility of getting Curry would be the money that a top 5 pick would demand, however, typically a ILB would come pretty cheap in comparison to other positions.
