I am a believer that the pats dont need much work upfront on that line but RT is the weakest spot. Im pretty sure he is a RT, which means he is in the mix with Kaczur and O'Callaghan.
If he comes in great shape and wow's he might make the team. I think more then likely he will be cut.

The Patriots are going to have alot of choices to make to be able to reach the roster limit. If he can come in and wow BB then he might have a chance to make the team.

On second thought...

His chances just greatly increased with Kaczur on the bouble with his OxyCotton problem.

He's a swing tackle, but more natural at right tackle.

Today, at minicamp, Kazcur played some right guard with Stephen Neal out... it could be a potential opening for Ross (although he wasn't present either).

Overall, I think it was a solid, low risk signing.  I think he could go from being cut to starting a right tackle.

Either way, if he's healthy, it's good to get some competition at camp.
